North Carolina-Based Services

Home Support

Home Support Program

The Home Support Program is a network of services to meet the living and personal care needs of adults 18 years and older who reside in North Carolina. Participants live in their own home and are supported by a biological or stepparent, other related family member or guardian also residing in the home.

Families or providers assist with personal grooming and cleanliness, household chores and dietary needs, as well as aid the social and adaptive education necessary for those in a non-institutional setting. To learn more or to make a referral, please contact an office near you.

Home & Community Support

Home & Community Support Program

The goal of Home & Community Support is independence. This program allows individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities a greater level of independence in the community, through instruction, support, supervision and engagement.

The program reflects the natural flow of skills and other activities as they occur during the course of a day. It is administered by a trained coordinator, on a one-to-one basis, in a private residence and/or in the community. This service is only offered in the state of North Carolina. To learn more or to make a referral, please contact an office near you.

Omni Visions believes that the elderly, physically disabled, and intellectually or developmentally disabled are better served in a family like setting, rather than an institutional setting. We are able to realize this through a network of Lifeskills Coaches (formerly called Family Based Providers) and services to individuals in our care.

What is a Lifeskills Coach?
A Lifeskills Coach opens their home and provides care for elderly, physically disabled, and/or intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals. Lifeskills Coaches provide housing, supervision, support and personal care to one or more clients in their care. Support may include assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, ambulation, dressing, personal hygiene, eating and meal preparation, attending medical appointments, medication administration, community outings and recreation.

Support & Compensation
To ensure success in this contract position, we offer substantial support, including introductory and on-going training and access to a Service Coordinator who is on call and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week when assistance, direction, and advocacy are needed. Should there be a need for it, housing modifications for wheelchair and walker accessibility can possibly be supplied. Lifeskills Coaches receive generous non-taxable compensation, including a room and board stipend.

If you have a heart for helping others, this is the opportunity for you. While experience is not required, those with caregiving experience whether in a paid or unpaid position, are preferred. Lifeskills Coaches can be male or female and be single or have a family with or without children. Candidates should be age 21 or above. Reference checks, extensive background check, and drug screening are required.
